By March of 2013 the science fraud of NASA Nobel Laureate John Mather was in plain evidence for anyone who did not want to look the other way. Ben Carson not only looked the other way, but proceeded to place Mather in limelight along with other glitterati:

To celebrate their accomplishments, the Mid-Atlantic scholars will be honored at the 17th annual awards banquet on Sunday, April 7, at Martin’s West in Woodlawn, Md.

Newscaster Sam Donaldson will serve as master of ceremonies.

Honored guests include Dr. John Mather, astrophysicist and Nobel Laureate in physics; Matt Stover, former Baltimore Ravens kicker; and Chris Wallace, Emmy Award-winning journalist and Fox News anchor.

World-renowned pediatric neurosurgeon Dr. Ben Carson, for whom the program is named, will deliver the keynote speech.

But as if this was not enough, Carson moved powerfully to promote Mather as a role model:

In addition to honoring the best and brightest students, the event also honored a few distinguished guests. Dr. John C. Mather, astrophysicist, cosmologist and Nobel Prize in Physics Laureate, received the Power of Excellence Award for his excellence in his career and becoming a positive role model.

John Mather posted this award in his NASA website, tying the Carson name to his:
