THE SCOURGE OF THE LIGO SCIENCE POPULARIZERS AND SCIENCE REPORTERS

The science popularizers are still at it!

Just this past month Brian Greene pitched LIGO at the World Science Festival Australia.

Just yesterday Lawrence Krauss unveiled his own genius idea: Combine the Big bang fraud and the LIGO fraud, and come up with the new science of Big Ligo Bang!

And as I reported recently, Neil deGrasse Tyson defended LIGO thus: We have competent people thinking about this stuff. We’re not just making shit up.

But let me give the above activity a context from right within the same physics establishment to which the popularizers belong. Harvard physics professor Lisa Randall is also a leading science popularizer with a large following. But unlike the above popularizers, LIGO is within her scientific bailiwick and she is a practicing scientist.

Randall remained significantly silent when the LIGO discovery took the world by storm. When a couple of years ago the scam BICEP2 discovery was similarly rolled out and similarly took the world by storm, and the very science popularizers above were dancing their celebrity dance also then, she was the first to publicly express reservation.

So, with this reference point, you need to ask some questions as to what the popularizers are actually doing.
