Corruptions in physics establishment and media go hand in hand

January 10, 2019

I present below two Nobel elephants in the physics establishment’s parlor that no one wants to talk about. And the Nobel organization remains mum.

Does the public have a right to know such things, especially when they are given information overload about the glorious discoverers connected to these images?

Does the public have a right to know such things when billions of dollars of their money are being spent on these?

Does the public have a right to know such things when their youngsters are being corrupted with fraudulent science and their kids are being taught false science in schools?

Does the public have a right to know such things that show that their most trusted academics are betraying them without any scruples?

Does the public have a right to know such things that show that when non-scientific leaders of nations try to do right by science, it is the physicists and the reporters that are screwing over the world?

And who is to inform the public?

LIGO dissidence from Italy and Brazil academics

November 29, 2018

A group of academic scientists from Italy and Brazil has published a paper in a well-regarded, refereed journal – suggesting that the LIGO observation of gravitational wave (GW) from neutron star-neutron star merger (GW 170817) reported in October 2017 is questionable (read here. Full arXiv article may be read here.). They suggest that the event was most likely a White Dwarf-White Dwarf merger, in which case LIGO was not expected to detect a GW signal from this lower energy event.

I am not knowledgeable on the thesis of the paper, but if the conclusion is that LIGO did not observe anything about the GW 170817 event, it is absolutely correct. Here is what I explained way back then:

By now a significant amount of dissident literature exists, even if you confine yourself to refereed publications. It is time for all good men to stop listening to the bullcrap from the Ligonauts. They have a haughty answer for every criticism, usually in the form “You do not understand” or “It is too complicated” or “LIGO is highly specialized science.” It is time to attend to the dissident science: clear, straightforward, conventional.

“The Astrophysics and Cosmology Theory program supports proposals that primarily are involved with theoretical particle astrophysics and big-bang cosmology as well as more speculative string theory-inspired cosmologies.
….
Research in cosmology and astrophysics topics not mentioned above is supported by the Astronomy and Astrophysics Research Grants Program in the MPS Division of Astronomical Sciences.”

Folks, the NSF review of LIGO has just taken place. NSF Director France Cordova was very much in evidence there, and was all smiley smiley and all chummy chummy with the Ligo leaders. Judging from this, LIGO will get great moneys to greatly expand and make grander discoveries yet. This unstoppable crime will continue apace. I am at my wit’s end. I don’t know what else to do to stop this criminal activity taking place under the guise of legitimacy.
